I have a few age conversions to share :)
Aligeth's made a Robin Hood mesh, original adult size here and Oph3lia removed the bracer here
Hat made a gorgeous set of recolors for am and tm and wished for a child size version.

Child size Robin Hood
I also have Liz's medieval alphadress for children and toddlers.

Re: Fixed cf mesh
Date: 2013-01-01 11:43 pm (UTC)From:(I'm also going to see if your nun wimple and noble veil will work for men without a major mesh edit. Daislia's Assassins' Creed hoods do, so it's worth a shot since Androgyny men are getting a buttload of gowns out of me.)
These should be the right meshes for the fat men with toes and healthy arms and legs.
Plantsims are just awesome. Do you keep up with Morgaine's Chronicles of Albion? She's got a couple plantsims as featured players.
EDIT: Okay, CF and CF RenGal look great! No problems there, everything lines up as on the adult version. TF is pretty close to great, and frankly I can work around that issue, I just thought you ought to know it was present. (That style of Liz's original dresses is the only one to have a gap in the back on the Teen age.)
EDIT 2: And the Nun Wimple and Noble Veil work hysterically well with the AM and TM Androgyny alpha dresses. Not so well with the male Androgyny laced-sleeve dress, but you can't have everything. I'm just tickled I can do something like smuggle a teenage boy through town dressed as a lady without having to explain where he got the really nice wig.

Date: 2013-01-02 03:37 pm (UTC)From:Awesome news on the cf meshes, I'll get the tf right today. Then start tinkering with the RGV2 meshes again. ETA Fixed TF
I started to read The Chronicles of Albion from the beginning, but didn't get very far(baby keeps me busy when I'm not tinkering in milkshape). I'm trying to make time here and there to read it though. I've enjoyed what I've read so far (which really isn't very far at all lol).
I've been wanting to update those hair meshes for a while. Haven't had much time yet. Next time you're in bodyshop or in game get pictures and I'll see if we can make them more gender friendly.
ETA-Finished with the RGV2 edits :) I had to make the alpha layer closer to the body than the original is because of the size of the shape. Let me know how they work.
AF & TF
I'll look at the Ag and Androgyny meshes in the morning :)

Re: Fixed cf mesh
Date: 2013-01-03 01:15 am (UTC)From:Yeah, no, I can understand how a baby would cut down on your leisure reading time. That makes sense.
You asked for pictures, you got 'em. Lucky thing I left Body Shop open! Here are the boys with veils and wimples on: Nun Wimple on Laced Sleeve, Nun Wimple on Alphadress, Noble Veil on Laced Sleeve, and Noble Veil on Alphadress. As you can see, whether the hat looks passable depends on the guy's forehead (I actually think it looks better with the forehead showing, but that's just me), and the chest on the Alpha dress fits better under the collars than the chest on the Laced-Sleeve gown. How gender-friendly are you planning to make them? Currently they're my go-to meshes for winter hair (since I try to go light on the 14K-poly hijab) because they cover everything and look nice and warm, but are more ladylike than my hoods.
Really, I just need to put in a request somewhere for more accessory hats and hoods and crowns and things. I love them.
EDIT: TF looks great. The RenGals all have their belts and pouches in repository-able places now, but there are still some issues with the alpha overdress. I'll grab some pictures, but basically the EF mesh (which I may not be using, at least for this project) is too close to the body under the bust, while the AF and TF meshes look great for the vertical drape, but horizontally they're too wide for the body. (But even WITH that they're a VAST improvement over every other RenGal mesh ever, regardless of theme. This is a thing I need you to know, because I am so insanely grateful for RGv2, because that's my body. So, a thousand thanks just for making dresses where the breasts aren't painted on.)
EDIT 2: PICTURES. Okay, so the Teen and Adult meshes have the same issue, but I'm only showing the adult mesh here, to save my sanity. Here are side views. White is body layer, yellow is alpha layer. Pretty good, I like how the alpha layer skims from the outer point of the bust down to the waist-- the elder version clings to the body, not giving the 'this is a looser layer' effect. However, from the front view, you get this, and that's where the problems start. You can see how it comes way out over the shoulder seam when it's meant to curve and fit in there, and how the side of the alpha layer juts into the arm. It's really hard to explain just in words what I mean about the fit, so I did a quick and dirty photoshop doodle. I admit I have no idea if the sides of the alpha layer are as off as they look; I just flipped what I'd drawn on the body side. I think most of the problem is because it kind of looks like the alpha layer still has Maxis-default sized breasts.
Really I feel so bad complaining about all this, but I promise it's because I want to make SO MANY recolors. And share them with everyone. ALL THE COLORS. I'll even be putting up a resource package of pngs and psds and texture-reference numbers so folk who use any other shapes the alphadress has been converted to can make their own sets.

Date: 2013-01-03 02:37 pm (UTC)From:Ok, I grabbed screenshots of the mesh in milkshape body layer
alpha layer
As you can see in the pictures, the alpha has the same shape as the body layer. I don't know if it's an issue with the shading, or if you have an older version of the mesh in your folder conflicting with the new one. Delete all of the TF-EF RGV2 things and replace them with these. The date on the meshes should be Jan 3rd
I edited the alpha layer, it shouldn't go over the arm on the shoulder area any more.

Don't feel bad Hat, I really want these right, I'm planning on using your recolors so I want them as perfect as we can get them.
Re: Fixed cf mesh
Date: 2013-01-03 08:30 pm (UTC)From:Hokay so RenGal! Grabbed meshes again, installed, started Body Shop, and then peered at my screen. I KNOW I replaced everything properly yesterday, but as you can see things were still messed up. I only put the meshes in one folder, so I didn't have to chase down six copies of them. Everything works fine now. Meshes look great.
My brain is broken, but the meshes look great. *facepalms* WHAT DID I DO COMPUTERS ARE HARD.
Today I get to leave my house, which is awesome, but I also need to fix my nail polish so while that's drying I'm going to do the repository work on the CF Rengals and that? That will be all the texture files for the front-laced kirtles DONE omg. I can get to that hair I've been meaning to Pooklet since Aquilegia did an all-ages both-sexes reasonably-grouped version. And maybe I can get to the beards. Because OH MAN I really want to full-Pooklet all the meshed beards.
Honestly, it's exciting to be able to do this-- to make a set of recolors for Maxis AF and be able to repository-link them to not only TF and CF, but to RenGal, Athletic Girl, and Androgyny, to get 996 recolors in the space of about 84... I'm spinning around and going 'eeeeeeeee' pretty much.
EDIT AGAIN: Okay so YAEF, TF, CF, and RGv2 YAEF, TF, and CF are now totally flawlessly perfectly complete. (And ALL the texture files are made and double-checked for issues like texture-referencing the wrong texture or missing a # or an E.) Want me to PM you with a sneak preview once I get things properly swatched and credited and uploaded? Cos I've got some mostly-finished stuff I'm going to try to get uploaded tonight so I'm not flinging EVERYTHING online right before I try to post it.
